From my personal experience, the entire process took around 4-6 months from start to finish. Now, I know that might sound like a long time, but trust me, it’s worth it in the end.
The first step is the initial consultation and assessment, which typically takes a couple of hours. The dentist will examine your mouth, take X-rays, and determine the best course of action. This is where they’ll discuss the timeline and what to expect.
Next up is the actual implant surgery, which is usually done in a single session. This part took about 2-3 hours for me, and I’ll admit, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. But the team in Turkey was incredibly professional and made sure I was as relaxed as possible.
After the surgery, there’s a healing period of 3-4 months where the implant fuses with your jawbone. During this time, you’ll have temporary teeth in place, so you can still go about your daily life.
Finally, the last step is the placement of the permanent crown. This is a relatively quick process, usually taking just a single appointment. And voila, you’ve got a brand new, natural-looking tooth!
Overall, the dental implant journey in Turkey was a bit of a rollercoaster, but the end result was absolutely worth it. The care I received was top-notch, and the cost was a fraction of what it would have been back home. If you’re considering this route, just be prepared for a bit of a wait, but trust me, it’ll be time well spent!
